About Us
My name is Yorgos and my wife is Jourena. We met in Gili Air a few years ago and since then we have built our lives here in Kuta. Together we built Elamu, the town’s Greek restaurant, cooking my mother’s recipes and we wanted to build a home of our own. We wanted a big and spacious house, and soon, the creativity we poured into it got out of control. With all its new elements, facilities, and eclectic decoration, it made sense to turn it into a place to be enjoyed by guests too.
The Story Behind the Name
We named the villa after my niece — Akylina — as a personal way to draw her into my world and encourage her to explore her own. My wife and I wanted her and the family to visit us in Indonesia, hoping to make her curious about countries other than her own. This villa is part of that dream: a place where horizons stretch wide and imaginations soar.
The Character of the Villa
Villa Akylina is defined by sunsets and open skies. We retained the openness of the garden and we built in seamless indoor-outdoor flow. We oriented the living room towards the West so that every evening, the villa becomes a front-row seat to nature’s grandest show.
We offer a luxury home experience that is both intimate and indulgent. Whether it’s enjoying hanging out in the private pool, gathering for a movie night in the home theater, or enjoying dinner under the stars, we hope that you leave this place with unforgettable memories.
